Joint Service and Discussion

Just a reminder that this Sunday, there will be one worship service for both congregations -- 9:45 at Ravenswood, followed by a discussion of the Sunday worship times. There will be no church service in Arkona that day, but those wishing to carpool are meeting in the parking lot at 9:15.

The preliminary sense of opinion that has been expressed to me (I'm sure they're more, differing, opinions floating around, but they haven't been presented to me) is to preserve the order of Ravenswood earlier and Arkona later. There is willingness to begin worship at Ravenswood at 9:30 with a suggestion that I leave immediately thereafter for Arkona, without meeting and greeting afterwards.

Granted, our discussion addresses only a symptom of a problem that our churches are facing and we will need to undertake more serious work to stablize finances, incorporate more people into the work and ministry of the church, and improve the collegial relationship between the two congregations.
