A New Look

In the spirit of so many home makeover shows the basement of Arkona United was de-cluttered today. An intrepid crew of 4 volunteers sorted through excess tables and chair, rearranged and reconfigured the layout of furniture. We discovered a phone jack behind the choir gowns and a room under the back stairs. With the scent of Murphy's Oil Soap hanging in the air, we prepared for church in the basement, come January.

As for what remains, much of it is in storage at Stotts' farm. Plans for a spring sale will help find new homes for these treasures; in the meantime, if anyone wants to pick an item up for a donation, you're most welcome to do so.

Currently there are some donated hymn books that are no longer in use that people can pick up if they wish. The hymnarys, as well as some Bibles and psalm books, are displayed in the new-look basement.

We're working on a wish list, too. If anyone has a spare CD-player, we could make use of it at the church. Or if anyone is inclined to mount some fire extinguishers, or a power bar, onto walls, or label cupboards and drawers in the kitchen, that would also be appreciated!
