It's Still Christmas

Happy New Year; and also Merry Christmas. It's time for the annual airing of my peeve that most of society has already packed up Christmas and moved on.

We sing about the Twelve Days of Christmas, chuckle or roll our eyes at Bob and Doug MacKenzie's version of it, and don't remember that December 25th is the first day of Christmas, not the only day of Christmas. So carry the holiday cheer, the hope of the Christ child and the wishes for peace and good will into the new year (to January 6th at least - to satisfy, or appease, sticklers like me).
